AHA Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED

Class description: 

This course is perfect for parents, babysitters, lifeguards and others who want to increase their effectiveness in responding to medical emergencies by  becoming American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid certified. During this course the student will learn to recognize and treat emergencies until medical professionals arrive.

Length of Class: 4 Hours

Certification: American Heart Association Two Year Certification

Course prerequisite: Students must be 12 years old or older. Parents of minors are welcome to remain on the premises, but are not allowed to be with their child in the class unless they too are registered in the class.

Course description:

The Heartsaver First Aid and CPR/AED Course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. The course also provides a complete health and safety training solution for first aid, adult,child and Infant CPR, and AED.
Units include: First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, CPR and AED Certification.
Certification is valid for 2 years and .6 ACE Cec’s
Meets Federal, State, OSHA, Hospital, Insurance and Government Requirements.

Training will include but is not limited to:

• First aid for adults, children, and infants
• Applying CPR
• Using an AED 
• Identify and treat a choking victim
• Control bleeding
• Identifying and treating shock
• Using an Epinephrine pen
