Course Description:
Active Shooter Defense Training may be the most important training a person could ever do. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and develop quickly leaving little time to react – every second counts. Deterrence, Action, Response, and Training (DART) gives you the tools needed to:
-
- evaluate and consider environmental factors that could mitigate or prevent an active shooter attack;
-
- train to respond quickly and decisively in the event an attack occurs; and
-
- confidently take the necessary actions to control bleeding by responding with appropriate medical care.
This course is designed to take a comprehensive dive into the DART process with classroom instruction, group discussions, and practical situational exercises. Discussion topics will include, but are not limited to:
-
- the DART process
-
- tactical methods and possible responses to respond to an attack
-
- techniques to help Deter, Act, Respond and Train
-
- recognize warning signs with situational awareness training
-
- environmental planning and preparation
-
- team dynamics
-
- self-defense philosophy
-
- and more…..
