Level 4: Shooting Under Stress

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

This course is Shooting Under Stress and is taught by Maddy Scholar.

Course Prerequisite:

• Completion of the SharpShooters USA waiver
• In-Depth Pistol or pre-approval from the instructor

Equipment Provided:

• Eye protection
• Electronic ear protection
• Target

Equipment Required (Please make sure you arrive with the appropriate equipment.  Failure to do so may result in removal from class.):

• Sturdy gun belt
• IWB or OWB Kydex holster with enough retention to hold the gun in place while moving
• At least 2-3 magazines
• Mag pouches or equivalent
• Firearm
• Minimum 200 rounds
• Sneakers and clothes you are not afraid to get dirty
• Water

Course Description:

After taking In-Depth Pistol, you are now capable of safely drawing from the holster which opens up the opportunity to incorporate shooting under stress into your skill set. 

This class utilizes a series of fitness exercises to increase the shooters heart rate and induce stress prior to completing shooting drills and basic manipulations. Additionally, drills will encompass various challenges that will force the shooter to have to think and act under time stressors. It is designed for shooters who have a good understanding of the fundamentals of pistol shooting and are able to apply those fundamentals safely.
