Did you know that the SharpShooters indoor range sits on 6.5 acres of land? Most people don’t, but it’s a fact. We’ve investigated quite a few operations that could work in “the backyard”, including a storage building, receiving warehouse, etc. But we’ve decided, and are happy to announce, that we will open an outdoor archery range in the open space behind the indoor range.
An Archery Partnership
When we started looking at options for making use of the acreage behind our facility, there were lots of options. This one rose to the top when one of our members introduced me to Yale Nogin, the Founder and Head Coach at the Atlanta Archery Club. Yale and I spoke over a number of weeks as he shared his vision of an outdoor archery range in North Fulton. We walked the property several times, and Yale got more and more excited every time.
Yale’s excitement for the sport of archery is infectious, and I started to see his vision of how we could implement an outdoor archery range at SharpShooters. The result is a partnership between Atlanta Archery Club and SharpShooters. AAC has leased the land behind our building to operate what we’re pretty sure is the only public outdoor archery range in north Fulton County.

Opening Day? TBD
All this on under an acre of newly cleared land behind SharpShooters. Amazing! We look forward to announcing “Opening Day”. We’re aiming for sometime in April to “officially” open the outdoor archery range. In the meantime, we will be hosting several “soft opening” type tours and info sessions.
