This course is USPSA Performance 101 and is taught by USPSA Master class shooter Garret McLaren of Executive Training Group.
This class is designed for shooters looking to improve their overall performance in USPSA competition matches. This is an intermediate class and students will be expected to understand the basics of safety and weapons manipulation (load / unload / show clear). Students will need to have shot a minimum of one competitive match (USPSA/IDPA) in order to attend this class. Topics will include, but are not limited to:
- Advanced understanding of grip;
- Acceptable sight picture;
- Perceived point of aim;
- Training techniques to improve performance; and
- Stage planning as it applies to competition.
We will also be covering different types of target layouts and how to treat them in a match. The goal is for shooters to leave with months of drills and objectives based on the education and training we do in this class. USPSA Master class shooter Garret Mclaren has been shooting for over 12 years and competing in USPSA for 2.
