The Red Letter Project is a women’s firearms training retreat organized and operated by Maddy Scholar. The event will take place May 27-29 in Laurens, South Carolina. There are 30 slots available, and applications are now open!
What is The Red Letter Project?
This event is designed to be the first of its kind. The RLP is a women’s retreat that encompasses much more than just shooting. The weekend at The Sawmill Training Center in Laurens, SC, will include the following training:
- Defensive Pistol
- Emergency first aid
- Stress-induced shooting
- Hand to hand combatives training
- Defensive vehicle application
The Red Letter Project got its name from Jesus’ words in the Bible, which are often printed in red. As part of this inspirational weekend, Melissa Scholar will lead an optional Bible Study Friday and Saturday nights.
Logistics of the Weekend
With a host of instructors, the Red Letter Project welcomes more women to the shooting community. The 30 women will be like minded, seeking more training to become more capable. This Women’s Retreat will be a 2 night/2 day course at the Sawmill Training Center in Laurens, SC. Women will learn defensive pistol techniques, receive basic medical training, defensive vehicle application, and basic hand to hand defense techniques. The cost of the course will include lodging, catered food, fellowship time, etc.
