FIREARMS TRAINING CLASSES

We are happy to offer not only training classes, but full training curriculum for pistol, rifle and shotgun use. We continually analyze and adjust our training offerings to create a training path to upgrade anyone’s firearm skills. Whether you’re starting from “I’ve never held a gun” or picking up where your Military training left off, SharpShooters Instructors and training curriculum can help you achieve your firearms training goals.

FIREARMS COURSE OFFERINGS

Private Firearms Training Lessons – Private Firearms Training Lessons are offered for those shooters who seek a more personal firearm session; flexibility with a training schedule; or to focus on specific firearm skills.

Intro to Defensive Pistol – This 3-4 hour class is an introductory firearms course and will lay the proper foundations for you to build upon as you continue through your progression of skill.   This class focuses on and begins to open the conversation regarding the use of a firearm in a self-defense situation.   Upcoming dates are | June 18th – 10am-1pm | June 25th – 10am-1pmJuly 9 – 12pm – 3pm | July 23 – 10am – 1pm |

In-Depth Pistol – Holster Draws – After you have developed a basic understanding of pistol shooting, it is time to polish your skills and begin to develop the next crucial skill that is essential to range based training and concealed carry: Holster Draws. Upcoming Dates | June 16th – 5-8pm |

Applied Movement – After taking In-Depth Pistol, you are now capable of safely drawing from the holster which opens up the opportunity to incorporate movement into your skill set. Upcoming Dates | July 8 – 5pm – 8pm|

Applied Positioning –  This class gives you a chance to apply the fundamentals to various positions related to cover/concealment. Upcoming Dates |

Red Dot Workshop – This class is for those who have already have a fundamental understanding and working knowledge of shooting.  Upcoming Dates |

Intro to Handgun Safety and Marksmanship – This class is designed for the individual with very limited or no experience shooting handguns who is interested in learning how to safely and accurately use a handgun for recreational target shooting and/or personal safety protection. Upcoming Dates | June 11th – 9am-1pmJuly 9 – 9am – 1pm | July 16 – 9am – 1pm |

Private Firearms Training Lessons – Private Firearms Training Lessons are offered for those shooters who seek a more personal firearm session; flexibility with a training schedule; or to focus on specific firearm skills.

Rifle Introduction – This course is designed for the shooter who has little to no experience shooting a carbine type firearm. The course is ideal for the new carbine owner who desires to begin the path of mastering their rifle. This class will incorporate both classroom and range time. The course will require a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition. Upcoming dates are | June 25 – 2pm – 5pm | July 16 – 2pm-5pm |

AR-15 Cleaning & MaintenanceDo you own an AR-15 rifle or pistol? One of the most valuable things you can learn, and do, is how to break down, clean, and maintain your firearm. Upcoming dates are | June 19th – 3-5pm |

Defensive Shotgun Level 1 – Defensive Shotgun: Level 1 is a comprehensive course designed for the shooter who has little to no experience shooting a shotgun, or for the user who has decided to use a shotgun for defense purposes.  Upcoming dates are | June 18 – 2pm – 5pm |

  • Defensive Shotgun Skill Builder 1 – Loading, unloading, staging, care and maintenance: Upcoming dates are | June 24 – 6pm – 7pm |

Defensive Shotgun Level 2 – Advanced Shotgun continues to build on the basic skills learned in the level 1 course. Students will review select topics from level 1 and then move into more advanced techniques that will help you become proficient and competent while employing the shotgun. : Upcoming dates are | July 10 – 11am – 2pm |

Defensive Shotgun Level 3: Structure Awareness and Improvising: This course discusses the use of cover and concealment, engaging multiple threats, conducting emergency reloads, and taking decisive action when you’re out of ammunition. : Upcoming dates are | July 24 – 12pm – 3pm |

All About Optics Workshop  – Understanding Optics and what optics are best to choose for the end users’ intended purposes. Upcoming dates: | July 23rd – 3pm-6pm |

Red Dot Workshop – This class is for those who have already have a fundamental understanding and working knowledge of shooting.  Upcoming Dates: |

GA Gun Law and Use of Deadly Force – This course is taught by a long time SWAT Team leader and law enforcement officer, and will teach you exactly what happens in the case that you are forced to discharge your firearm in an act of self defense.
